I am trying to do some research on what motherboard to get for my new pc and have found myself stuck. I want a motherboard that has on board sound which I think all modern ones do (correct me if I am wrong), however the main problem I am having is finding one that supports over clocking of both gpu and cpu.

I will be building this PC for gaming however do not have a high budget. My build so far is this...

(I plan on getting another 8GB ram later on hence the one instead of 2x4 GB ram).

I would appreciate suggestions as to what motherboard I should get but my main question is this...

How do I identify if a motherboard supports over clocking?

P.S I know that my cpu can not be over clocked however if I got one in the future that can then I would prefer not having to replace my mobo too :D

Thanks in advance!

get the evga GS supernova 650w psu, that would be plenty enough juice

you need a "K" series cpu to overclock

you need a good h97, or z97 based motherboard to overclock the cpu ( with good 8+ phase power design )

overclocking the gpu is done with software like msi afterburner, nothing to do with the motherboard beyond it having the proper pcie slot
