Ok, So i built my PC for roughly $1400 last year, and its a pretty good PC,
but some times my pc freezes, and i have to wait for it to unfreeze witch usually takes roughly 1 to 3 minutes.

ill list my specs:
http://i.imgur.com/bLkOmBn.png

So i got tired of my pc doing this for like as long as i could remember so i downloaded CoreTemp. And it stated that my Pc Runs 90°F to 120°F.

Now, my question is, should i get a new cpu fan? or new case fan / system fan?

Please reply if u want more info :p i have a budget of 150$, i want to fix asap.
And before u say im crazy, yes i am crazy, and this is terrible for my cpu.

Solution
You are right. The cable management looks good and the ventilation seems decent too. If taking the side off did not do much, then more fans in that area is unlikely to help either.

Now that we have eliminated most of the obvious this we can look at the others. How old is your PSU? That's a fairly low-performance PSU (although high-power) and the main capacitors will eventually fail, especially as your GPU makes sudden demand spikes, but I would expect them to be able to handle it. However, as time goes by, they degrade, and the cheaper they are, the sooner they degrade.

GPU overheating
Dodgy PSU
Driver issues

are the three things I would be looking at. Keeping your log will help.
More questions before answers. What is your motherboard, what is your CPU cooler, what is your case, what is your PSU?

It sounds like a thermal problem, but there are many possibilities and places it could be. Lets try an find it.

90F to 120F is nothing to worry about. I would want you to download and run OCCT (it's free) and see where the CPU temperatures go.

My PSU us a ULTRA 850w atx Power Supply. cpu cooler? its the stock fan for the Processor. the case is: Thermaltake Commander G42 Black ATX Mid Tower Gaming Computer Case.

i am currently on the OCCT program what should i tell u / do now? , and by thermal issue, what do u mean?

When you run it, it will show how the CPU temperatures are going. I run a 1 minute pre-test, 10 minutes of test, and 5 minutes of cool-down. See if it will do that.

I would not want to use that motherboard with an FX83xx. It's power phases and VRM are not up to a 125W or higher chip. Are you overclocking it?

i didnt change / do any settings to overclock the cpu. so no. and i did a test for 20 minutes while i ate, and i finished the test. It gave me a few pictures, now what am i looking for :L , im a noob...

Yes. The red on the left shows your CPU temperature is up around 60C and your CPU usage was up to 100%. That is fine!

I assume that the system did not crash :)

This suggests the problem lies elsewhere. (Not CPU, not motherboard). The next place to look is the GPU.

I need you to download some more free software; get MIS's Afterburner if you do not have it, and get the basic version of 3DMark (with the four benchmarks, Ice Storm, Cloud Gate, Sky Diver. and Fire Strike), and Unigine Valley, a free graphics benchmark.

Those are the results from the 3DMark demo.
I already have MSI Afterburner, so if u want me to change something there tell me,
and will i need to use the Unigine valley aswell?

Yes. Use the Valley and run the benchmark on ULTRA and see what the temperatures go up to, it will report in the top right of the screen. Use afterburner to monitor the GPU temperatures when the 3DMark is running.

Obviously also the 3DMark worked well too.

How long does it normally take for the computer to 'freeze' after you start gaming?

The only way to fix the problem is to identify it and try to create it under controlled circumstances. Fixing 'random' is very hard.

When i play counterstrike sometimes my pc will just freeze mid game and takes couple minutes to come back into play, so whenever this happens mid game, i usually just reboot my pc because most of the time it will be faster (like 30secs). Then sometimes when im surfing the internet and open multiple tabs and switch between them / opening multiple at same time my pc freezes....
I find that when my PC freezes its because i have been on it for a while (obviously.) And i.... dont understand how to know how to explain when my PC freezes. Its just random, i will keep notes every time my pc freezes. Troubleshooting the issue is always the hardest part....... :/

i currently do on GPU, i dont think so for my Motherboard or my cpu.

I am currently downloading Unigine Valley, so i will finish the test.

Thanks again for helping me :D this means a lot,

So one time my PC froze recently was I was researching information for a school project. I have Songza opened for soothing music, and another tab opened for the internet. I go to click Wikipedia then it takes like 30seconds for the page to show up (this doesnt happen cuz i have a ethernet hookup along with 10ping and 130mbs download and 12up) so i click back page when my pc froze.
this happens quite often.

Now.... I did the Unigine Valley benchmark and the results were pretty suprising to me. The average Temperature of my GPU during the test was 68-78°C.

Thanks for the information. 78C is too high. GPU overheating COULD cause the problems you have identified. Before I did anything drastic, I would re-run the benchmark with the case panel on the GPU side open, to see if that helps. Can you take and post a photo or two of what the interior of your case looks like. Perhaps we can suggest better cable management.

My pc is in great shape, cable management is mint, i will take pictures of the case after i do the benchmark again, but for now u can assume its in good order. Also the case has holes on the top and bottom of the case.

I Did the benchmark again with the side panel off, and i reached 68-72 Celsius, So it did not help much.
i did a fairly mint job with the wire management so i dont think that its a issue.

1) Should I buy a fan to blow on the video card and what is the video cards ideal temp.?

2) PSU is 10 months old So you don't think that the power supply doesn't have enough power your just saying that it is low performance (capacitors ect.) and because of this my computer may freeze? Do I need more power (I have 850 W) maybe a 1000 or 1200 watt supply? I guess the voltage will drop if there was a power limit issue but we didn't see that on the test we ran correct?

3) My drivers are all up to date (CPU and Graphics)

Thanks so much for the help!

Since taking off the side panel did not do much for temperatures, I would wait and see what your log shows. It's easy to throw money at this sort of problem but, until we have a better idea what it is, there's no guarantee we'll fix it, and may make things worse.

No you do not need MORE power, but you might need BETTER power.

Keep observing and see if we can identify the conditions under which the system freezes.

ok, so its nearly 2 weeks later and i have a little bit of a log. I dont think its a good enough log to resolve / troubleshoot the issue, but its something.
I think i left out some minor freezes because i forgot to or what not, but this is 95% of them.... even though there is like only 4.
-=-==-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

-When boot up, almost once a day / every other day, the screen will flicker white and black, while i can still see the mouse.
All i do is turn on my BenQ monitor and turn on my pc, and wait a sec, then the screen will flicker white and black, until i press the reset button.
(this only started happening the Sunday u began helping me with resolving my "issue".) (2015-10-06)
(happened 4 times total, stopped happening 2015-10-09)

-one time i exited CSGO, and went to steam. i wanted to go photoshop something so i opened GIMP (ghetto photoshop...ikr) and then i exited steam while it opened.
then my pc / windows froze. My mouse is able to move but i cannot click or do anything. I wait roughly a minute for it to respond then it did and everything is all good.
(2015-10-08)

-Was on steam MSGing a friend, when i clicked chrome, it froze. Just started PC like 8 minutes prior, all i have open is steam and windows. (2015-10-09)

-playing csgo, kept freezing here and there, reset pc, while logging loggin in on windows, windows10 froze on logging in to desktop, reset again and worked. (2015-10-11)
^^^^^ roughly 30 minutes later it starts having its little lag spikes / freeze spikes. (this doesnt occur again for another 3 days.). funny thing is, csgo isnt even the most
powerful game either. When i run gtaV for long periods of time on PC, it never freezes / has lag spikes, along with Star Wars Battlefront.

-Started PC 3 minutes prior, surfing internet, have steam and skype open in background. Open new tab and then i hit exit tab ( since i misclicked ) then my whole PC froze
even the skype call, 1 min later, its back up. (2015-10-13)
^^=2 hours later, still freezing here and there (twice an hour), still no restart (last priority).
^^=CSGO froze mid competitive game, so i had to restart (30minutes later)
