I want to add a new SSD to my laptop to use as the primary drive. And the existing HDD which is 1TB will be my secondary drive.

Is it possible to add a new SSD without removing the existing HDD?

Sometimes yes. Does it have an optical disc drive? If so you can open it up and remove the optical drive and switch it out for an SSD fitted to an optical drive adapter. They look like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/12-7MM-Laptops-second-laptop-replace/dp/B0074AWDI6

You lose your optical drive in the process but you can run two storage drives no problem. I did exactly that in my ASUS notebook last year.
