So recently I decided to upgrade my pc, everything seems to be working correctly except my AMD R7 260X Graphics card. Everytime the graphics card is powered, my monitor just doesnt recognize it, also strangely it turns off my Razer Black Window keyboard and Razer Taipas mouse as their lights do not turn green. As far as I know, my motherboard did have on board graphics that were also AMD, but I can not find them in the device manager to disable them, only my new card is shown. My monitor only has AVI and DVI ports and I have tried both, I have also tried another monitor that had HDMI which didnt work either. The card is definetly on, it spins, also plugging the card in while the monitor cable (AVI) is plugged into the monitor does not turn the monitor off, but the card isnt active.

my processor: AMD A8-5500 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics

It certainly could be the PSU. Before settling on the power supply though I would try manually instaling the drivers for your card and see if that does the trick.

Here is a link to the AMD drivers download section of their website, go through the "manually select your driver" section to download & install the appropriate drivers.

If the card still doesn't display after the correct drivers are installed I would either:
- test the card in a different PC (if that option is available to you) OR
- send the PSU back (if you still can) and exchange it for something like this:

Firstly, are you sure you are plugging in the video cable to the correct place on the back of the computer? The video cable should plug in from your monitor straight to the back of your video card, not into the motherboard video port. It sounds like you are seeing integrated graphics display on your monitor, which indicates that the cable from your monitor is going into your motherboard, not the new graphics card.

If you are sure the video cable is connected to the right place, then the keyboard and mouse shorting out when the graphics card is plugged in either suggests either that the connections from the cx430 aren't correct, or that the PSU isn't supplying good power to your components.

The Corsair CX line of PSU's are notorious for having bad internal components and causing problems, so that is always a red flag when diagnosing system issues.

Yes, the monitor can only works normally when it is directly plugged into the motherboard , it only goes black when it is connected directly to the graphics card, but it doesnt have a little pop up saying that it isnt connected to anything, so I guess that means that it is detecting something, it just stays black though. Ill try to see if something wrong can be hooked up, although the graphics card is working and spinning and it is recognized in the device manager.

So, it might mean that I need to get a new power supply?
