Question on Water Cooling (Top-Mounted Radiator)

Top case fans on a computer are meant for exhaust. So I'm confused. If you put a radiator at the top, wouldn't the fans be blowing air into the radiator?

I am new to water cooling, and see it as something to consider in a couple months.

You still set them to blow out, under most circumstances(I've heard of people setting them up to blow in). Yes, they'll be blowing internal air over the radiator, that is warmer than ambient, but if you have a big case or lots of air movement, it won't substantially effect things.

Depending on the watercooler setup you use, the fans are set to exhaust the air up and outside of the case. You can always change the direction of the fan if needed and also do a push/pull setup where you can double the fans and increase the airflow.

If you have the screwdrivers(small phillips #1s that will fit in the fan holes on one side of the fan, to tighten screws on the other side of the fan), you can set up water cooling in all sorts of ways, which is one of it's strengths. I like push/pull, but I'm not sure it really adds a lot of cooling power. *shrug*
