I have a question. I'm looking for a switch box so I can hook up both my PC and PS4 to the same monitor until I can buy a TV. I was looking at this switch from Monoprice: http://www.monoprice.com/product?c_id=101&cp_id=10110&cs_id=1011004&p_id=4069&seq=1&format=2

My question is...is there any reason it needs to be powered? I've seen a couple more around in Google searches that aren't powered, so I was wondering what the reason might be. It doesn't seem to say in the specifications on the page, and I couldn't imagine why it would need to be powered other than for the light indicators. Can anyone help with this?

I did notice that. I looked through all the 10 or 11 pages of reviews however searching for my answer up there, but also found that people said it worked fine with 1080p.
