Alright I bought a brand new motherboard about 2-3 months ago and it worked for a solid month and a half and then it fried. I sent it back and got a replacement and it worked for 6 days and then fried. I called MSI and they refunded me my money back and Im ordering a ASUS motherboard instead because it keeps failing me. I am wondering what could be the problem, because I don't know what exactly is the problem is. I think it good be the power supply but again I don't know that much.

Old Mobo - MSI A88XM-E45 v2
PSU - Corsiar CX600

From the link above, you will find that the Corsair CX series is a TIER 4 PSU, which is mediocre at best. They use the cheap Chinese capacitors, and you will most likely have issues. Before you blow out another MB with this PSU, I would recommend an upgrade to a PSU from TIER 1 or 2.

I would not RMA your existing PSU because you will get the same junky one back.

The Corsair CX series of power supplies appears to have poor quality capacitors in them. That results in capacitors sometimes failing as early as a few months after the power supply is purchased. Once they fail, you get random restarts, weird errors, random lockups, and other weirdness happening. And sometimes, it just refuses to start up your system for awhile.

If that sounds like some of what you have been going through, consider getting yourself a high quality power supply.
