I have been using a LG Optimus G Pro F240L sine past one & half year which turned dead (apparently) last night. I was working with my phone plugged in to my computer's front USB port. Then I went out for an hour leaving it on charge through the USB port. Coming back, I found computer went into sleep mode and phone was switched off.

Now A Few Detail

(1) I replaced my phone's battery a month back with an LG OEM original one. I bought it from LG authorized service center itself. Everything was great.

(2) I do use LG OEM wall charger and USB cable with the phone.

(3) After the incident I tried pulling out the battery and cleaned everything up with dry cloth.

(4) I have tried pressing (Volume Down + Power Button) AND (Volume Up + Power Button) combo.

Even after all these I ended up with no result. It's still off and not getting switched on. Not a single light anywhere.

I don't know what might have happened with my phone. If it's really dead then what might be the reason? By any chance I can switch it back on? What to do now? Please help me. I am too sad

If the phone was/is in sleep, pulling out the battery and waiting a few minutes to put it back in should power it off. If after that the phone is still not turning on once the battery is back, then the issue could be with the battery itself (at least that's where I would start). I'd look to replace it/swap it out with another working battery even if it's with a friend who has the same phone or if your carrier has the model on display. Otherwise you'd probably need to take it in to have someone else diagnose it... or buy a new battery yourself and see if that does the trick.

I should have mentioned about another incident happened a few months back which I think can shed some light-------

On a bad day, I was working with my Roland audio interface connected to my same PC through rear USB port. Then I went out and came back after half an hour. I found the PC was in sleep mode and interface was having no light blinking on it. Yes, it was dead. I took the interface to service center and they declared it's on board power unit was fried.

Which USB port did you mean? PC's or phone's?
No, there is no light as indication if I charge it.... but battery is getting a little hot which is normal while charging. Which means, I think, nothing wrong has happened with charging port or charging unit inside.
