combine two 4gb rams and one 8gb ram

Is there an order of priority to install these three sticks in given 4 slots in the mother board. Some folks say you need to install 8gb closer to the processor. Does it make any difference?

If going to try, would put the *GB stick in slot 1 (closest to CPU) then the 4GBs in slots 3-4. This puts 8GB in each channel which would/should work in dual channel through Flex mode. If problems, give a shout and we can try some voltage/timing adjustments

Here are the specifics
One 8GB 1600MHz (10-10-10-27)
Two 4GB 1600MHz (9-9-9-24)

On the motherboard i have two dual channels(black and blue)
Blue is closer to the processor
