Hi Froddo,
DIMM stands for Dual-in-line Memory Module. It is a specification of a certain type of RAM that has contacts on both sides of the RAM card. Just about all RAM modules are DIMM these days.
Module is just another way of saying the RAM card. You'll see people use module/ card/ stick pretty much interchangeably.
If you post what motherboard you are using we would be happy to recommend (or double check) your RAM choice if you would like.

A DIMM (dual in-line memory module) is a double SIMM (single in-line memory module). Like a SIMM, it's a module containing one or several random access memory ( RAM ) chips on a small circuit board with pins that connect it to the computer motherboard.
DIMM and Module mean the same thing.

The ASrock 970 Pro3 can support:
-- 4 DDR3 DIMM cards
-- DDR3 2100(OC)/1866(OC)*/1800(OC)*/1600(OC)*/1333/1066/800 non-ECC, un-buffered memory (These are the different RAM frequency/ speeds your board supports)
-- Max. capacity of system memory: 64GB
Looks like you currently have one RAM card of 8GB Corsair DDR3 1333 RAM installed. If you wanted to build more into your system the most cost effective solution would be to order another exact copy of the RAM card you currently have, upgrading you to 16GB total. 16GB of RAM is usually as much RAM as you'll ever need.
If you are looking for places to upgrade your rig in the future you can keep in mind that your motherboard supports much faster RAM that the type you currently have. You are now using 1333, while the motherboard can support frequencies up to 2100.

Well you see im having freezing issue when playing movies and videos and suspect its the ram im currently using thats the issue due to change of PSU, GPU, FANs ect........ it all comes to the ram after posting many times about my problem. Plus gives me the op to upgrade my rig lol. Thank you for the support regarding the frequencies that will help me in purchase. I was goin to go for the 2400 but you saved me the hassle
