So im at this time again, In Q'4 2011 (4years ago) I decided to research, gather and build my own PC - cost me $3500 AUD ($2500 USD).

So being the expert im not, ive come to you guys the community to gather some help and hopefully narrow down another build that can last me another effective 4years ($875/y).

So I need some help, what do you guys think as the most cost-effective. Questions I have.
Should I upgrade to 1151? like the 1151 Skylake is 'Tock' does this mean that Skylake and future Predecessors will have more upgrade-ability

I need my build for
High End Gameplay (Arma III, Assassins Creed, Battlefield etc)

i Know this Is Pretty Indepth, but I really need to get some proper opinions on whats the most cost effective & future reliable for upgrading and where i should go. I can sell the parts i currently have in my PC (worked out around $500 - $800 AUD to offset costs).

Any help would be appreciated, I know its a lot to read

I agree. You currently have a very good mobo/cpu combo which should handle a GTX 980 Ti just fine. Try that first and save a lot of money!

Okay cool, but in regards to my question of what parts are better what do u guys think a final build would be appropriate.

Btw the reason I want to upgrade is I'm constantly using 70-90% of my RAM and getting blue screens, my rig is pretty unstable nowadays.

Do a few questions which was why I put this thread down

1. IF I went ahead with this build what part solutions should I chose from the options I provided as the best balance

2. Will a 980TI SH run on my setup?

3. Anyone know the RAM useage/blue screen problem?

Mainly I want to know in the even I upgrade what is the best build out of That which is above

PS. I will probably get my PC serviced and may buy a GPU to start but still looking for some answers :)

Anything u guys could offer would help!!
