Will this setup be able to play gta v and similar games on medium settings? I did look at the requirements on Rockstar website but I'm not sure how compare this to that.

Core i5 4590 (4 x 3.7GHz CPU - 6MB Cache +1150MHz Graphics)
ASRock H81M-VG4
Performance Cooling Package
8GB DDR3-1600 Memory (Single Module)
1TB SATA3 - 6gb/sec 7200RPM (32MB Cache) Hard Drive
Winsis Upgraded Mid Tower Case
700W Power Supply
Windows 10
nVidia GeForce GTX750 - 2GB

Thanks for your time to help me with this

Solution

I only question the 750 GPU. I currently run a GeForce GTX 760 TI and I get above medium settings for GTA: V. Everything else seems fine as far a processor, RAM, and PSU.

To know for sure if you can run GTA: V compare what you have here with...

A GTX750 2Gb will certainly cut it for GTAV on medium settings. I was running on nearly max settings with a GTX660 and a weaker AMD CPU and it was pretty darn smooth. But yeah don't get a single 8Gb stick of RAM.

Single module is ok, in a 2 slot board. For gaming, single channel doesn't hurt as badly, as it does in some non gaming tasks. I doubt that 700w PSU is very good quality either. GTX 750 is on the weak side. Need a budget, to make any real suggestions though.

Sorry just got back from class, but is $600-750 a good budget, or will that not be enough? I could go to $850 if I needed but would prefer not to. By the way thanks for such quick replies yall!

Oh and by the way, 1080p is the highest my TV will run right now, so I am not looking for super nice graphics or anything at the moment. I will be getting a good monitor in the future so I will cross that bridge when I get there.

To know for sure if you can run GTA: V compare what you have here with the MINIMUM and RECOMMENDED SETTINGS of GTA: V:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Specifications
MINIMUM
OS Windows 8.1 64 Bit,
Windows 8 64 Bit,
Windows 7 64 Bit Service Pack 1,
Windows Vista 64 Bit Service Pack 2*
*NVIDIA video card recommended
Processor Intel Core 2 Q6600 @ 2.40GHz
AMD Phenom 9850 @ 2.5GHz
Memory 4GB
Video Card NVIDIA 9800 GT 1GB
AMD HD 4870 1GB (DX 10, 10.1, 11)
Sound Card 100% DirectX 10 compatible
HDD 65GB

RECOMMENDED
OS Windows 8.1 64 Bit,
Windows 8 64 Bit,
Windows 7 64 Bit Service Pack 1
Processor Intel Core i5 3470 @ 3.2GHz
AMD X8 FX-8350 @ 4GHz
Memory 8GB
Video Card NVIDIA GTX 660 2GB
AMD HD 7870 2GB
Sound Card 100% DirectX 10 compatible
HDD 65GB
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After closer inspection, you should be fine with that build seeing as your processor is an i5, which is recommended for GTA: V. Your RAM is also 8GB where GTA: V requires 4GB. Lastly, the GPU for the recommended settings is an GTX 660. You have a 750 GTX so you should be good to go with this build.

At your $850 budget, you could squeeze in a GTX 970, which would allow to run higher settings yet.
