sony viao battery issue

I have sony viao laptop and it was working for 3 hours until yesterday suddenly it got stuck on 47% and after 1 hour of noticing i unplugged the charger and the laptop turned off, is my battery completely destroyed or is there any problem in my charging base?

I'll suggest trying a reset, see if the charging works properly after that. To reset your laptop, unplug the power adapter and remove battery. With no battery and no power adapter plugged in, press and hold the power button for ~30 seconds. Put battery back in, plug in adapter, see how the charging does after that. (I honestly expect that the battery would need replacement but try the reset)

I TRIED THAT but its not working, it just stopped working suddenly, i mean it was working and the next thing i know battery is not chargin above 47% its stuck there, do you think my battery is dead? is there any way to repair it?
