nozzzy why dont you get him a 600w or larger unit so latter he have the wattage to put in a faster gpu without changing the power supply. a 500w unit is ok for the card he has now but there not the wattage or amp headroom for a larger gpu without swapping the power supply.

I just figured that if this was being built for a friend upgrading would not be a worry however if you plan on upgrading then yes a 600W or even like you said a 750W.

I just noticed that most of your builds had ASRocks so I was wondering. And yes asus MOBOs are great.

I just changed the video card to this: EVGA GeForce GT 740 4GB Superclocked Video Card should I keep the change?

Nozzy7 : can you think of a asus mobo i could get, and stay at 800?

I can't remember what GPU you had before to compare to so if you could refresh my memory that would help. The gt 740 is decent but I would think that a gt 740 with GDDR5 memory would be better even if you only had 2gb of GDDR5 vs 4gb of DDR3. And for the motherboard I could'nt find a asus motherboard for the price better than the board you have though I think the one you chose will be fine.
