Hi everyone. Recently I have noticed a large decrease in performance in both general usage and startup times on my Windows 10 Computer. I currently run 3 SSD's and 3 HDD's. Below I'll list the specs and configuration. I'd like to get my PC back to the fastest it can be.

120GB Kingston HyperX 3K - This is my OS Drive
Samsung 840 120GB SSD - I don't have much on this one
Samsung P851 128GB SSD - Don't have much one this either
(3) WD Caviar Black 1TB's - 2 I use for general programs, One I have dedicated to Hackintosh.

For some reason, it just has become very slow. Is there anything I can do to fix this. I don't mind reinstalling Windows as long as I am able to backup my files onto an external drive first, and I've also heard RAID can make them faster. If anyone can help me, I'd really apprciate it.

Edit:

Rest of my PC Specs (If Needed)
Mobo: Maximus VI Hero
CPU: i7 4770k @ 3.5
Cooler: H100i
PSU: AX860i
RAM: 32GB Corsair Vengeance Pro
GPU: 780ti DirectCU II

Hefty system. Try these basics first, and follow them step by step. I usually come across one or two that 'hide themselves' till something like this issue comes to mind, even on my 'constant upkeep'.

Did you install all Windows Updates? Including OPTIONALS? Check them and repeat till ALL are installed.

Download and run Slim Drivers, install all the latest updates but you don't need to reboot until you do the last update

Go to www.filehippo.com, download Malwarebytes, go to CUSTOM Scan and set it to do a full system scan (by DEFAULT IT DOESN"T DO THAT, and AntiVirus doesn't pick up alot of malware) - this resolved almost ALL other similiar posts to date as most had Malware the AV didn't pick up.

Remove whatever AV your using and download AVIRA, AVG, Comodo or Panda go to CUSTOM Scan and set it to do a full system scan (by DEFAULT IT DOESN"T DO THAT) - this repeatedly has resolved alot of people issue relying on MS Essentials.

Repeat the AV/Malware scans till the system comes up clean.

Download and run SPECCY, copy and paste the first tab to show your idle temps

Download AUTORUNS and turn off anything NOT critical on startup, so you don't need to run JAVAScheduler to check for Java updates everytime you start your computer for example. BE CAREFUL AND KNOW WHAT YOUR TURNING OFF BEFORE YOU DO IT.

Open Computer, Can Air dust out the bunnies and use paint brush on the vents, coolers, fans, etc.

A good way to monitor in Windows 3D Apps (like games and such) is to download and run MSI Afterburner.
In the settings turn ON OSD, then go through and SET the stuff to 'watch' by enabling them in OSD (On Screen Display)
Setup the stuff to watch, do you see one drive being hammered alot in performance? Maybe temps rising? Maybe a couple cores keep being 'pinned' because a app is using them heavily, etc. Good way to figure 'stuff out' if ALL else above comes up clean

PLEASE Go through and provide a response on each point, don't SKIP IT because "I ALREADY DID IT" , just try doing it again as of THIS post so we know NOW what is happening as compared to BEFORE you posted.

For old school XP that was true with viruses, Malware and other aspects hide themselves in plain sight so NO that isn't the 'easy quick solution' especially as the OP said it is on BOOT, which means before you can LOAD Windows and even 'start' Task Manager. As such can be as stupid as the PCIe I/O Driver (which is NOT updated when you do Windows Update) needs a newer edition, to being some malware loading during boot (reason I include in my investigation of such matters checking with AUTORUNS a Microsoft provided tool to look at what is actually loading before you see your icons etc.).

That is very close to my current system.
120GB Kingston HyperX 3k
250GB 840 EVO
250GB 840 EVO
2TB Seagate HDD
3TB Seagate HDD
3TB WD Green HDD

(recently swapped the 120GB Kingston boot for one of the 840 EVOs as the boot drive)

You problem lies elsewhere.

A couple of decades of family pics and video. An ISO of just about every OS from MS and elsewhere.
The WD Green is a recent addition, and holds drive images of some of the others.

The 2TB and 60GB of movies and music live elswhere...:)

Thanks for all the replies so far everyone. This is why I love this community. So...

Here are my Speccy Results: http://pastebin.com/y6ghtMcw

Ran Slim Drivers, updated it all. Windows drivers are all set too. Malwarebytes is still scanning, seems like it might take a while to scan all 5 drives on Windows. Disabled a few things on Autorun (Hopefully I didn't remove too much
;))

Checked Task Manager, don't see any major usage on the drives I'm not using...but on my C Drive (HyperX 120GB and my OS Drive) it spikes around a lot, sometimes 2%...20%....95%. Not sure what this means, but Task Manager gave me some options to "Copy" the graph I was seeing. Here are the results from that: http://pastebin.com/dDSpw9i2

Here is a screenshot of the graph as well: https://gyazo.com/21218d816d12e1429a96b423d4ab0cc1

As you can see, lots of spiking. Any reason that this might be happening?

Thanks again for the support!

Booted with only the C drive connected. Boot was a bit faster. I still see the graph fluctuating, but not as much.

Oh, and for some reason, under the processes Tab, when I look at the disk, the % does not correspond to the % of disk usage on the Performance Tab. It stays around 0-1% on the Processes Tab.

Nothing amiss here

Okay glad SlimDrivers help, you need to do a reboot now to implement any updates
We need to see the results of Malwarebytes so BUMPING your posts isn't going to help until this is done
Malwarebytes is NOT the only solution, what happened to Antivirus? Malwarebytes doesn't fix infections and Antivirus doesn't do as good a job on seeing malware, so you need both

Complete the outlined tasks first THEN lets look at Task Manager. As your doing 'SCANS' as of this post YES it will spike and drop down while it works, we need a 'when NOTHING' is being used point and see what tasks will be running and such.

Please complete as pointed out above, then when DONE and POST RESULTS, let's tackle what processes are going on and so on.
