I think meaning that your name would have been registered in a database somewhere with warranty support. There's no gps tracker on the pc or pc box. No way to actually track it. Just a way for them to verify you're a customer with extended warranty should you call for warranty support with the company. Once the box leaves the company and is shipped to you and delivered, you received it, there's no further way to track it. The shipping company could track it because it was in their inventory and on one of their vehicles, not actually tracking the pc/box like it had any kind of homing beacon.

I figured that when I purchased the extended warranty, my info would be linked with the serial number on the side of the computer and box, giving me some hope to being able to track it. So because I never actually opened and registered the serial number I'm screwed huh?
