MSI 750ti OC idle temps

My MSI 750ti is running at 31c idle temps, which is about 5c off from Toms Hardware specs. It also get to 70c on load. What is wrong?

Your GPU is well within the safe operating temperatures don't worry. The one on Tom's Hardware was probably in a case with more airflow. Your temperatures should be fine, you should only worry if your GPU starts hitting the high 80s or 90s

Did you check that the fans are rotating and at the proper RPM?

How close is the card installed to other cards?

Is an internal wire physically jamming a fan?

Any possible air flow blockages?

Do the temperatures go back to normal or change when the case is open?

Look inside.

OK, thanks! I can hit the temps on Toms hardware, just sometimes though. Like random bootups.

923rpms bad for case fan?

"Bad" is relative.

If temperatures are in spec then the fan speed (whatever RPM) is probably okay.

If temperatures go up and you discover that the fan speed is running slower than before then the RPM (i.e., "923") could be bad.

Although I am sure there are generally accepted ranges for the rpm value, "good/bad" mostly depends on your system and system history.

Temperature is more important. An inefficient high rpm fan could cool the same as a more efficient fan at lower rpm.....

Sam_missles and others can probably provide additional comments and insight based on their experience.

My temps are usually OK, I think. They never get above 34c idle, and when I booted up my PC this morning, it was 25c on idle. Probably because it was freezing thIs morning in SC. I was just wondering, because they used to be constant 26-28 c idle no matter the ambient temp.
