So I've decided on liquid cooling my MSI 980 Tis. As this is going to be my first time water cooling I would like some critiques on my parts or advice so I don't end up buying parts and dealing with malfunctions or other reasons. I've done a vast amount of research but so far research doesn't always hold until I actually do it myself and gain the experience. I'll be doing this in my Nzxt Noctis 450 case and the main components are as followed:
Rad: Alphacool NexXxoS ST30 360mm (decided on normal width vs extra width as I'm going to have to mount my pump/res combo pretty much in front of the radiator between the end of my GPUs, as space/mounting orientation is a concern) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007R79E60/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3GO5VFCNOM5I7
Pump/Res: EKWB EK-XRES 140 D5 PWM https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00P8VIBM0/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3AFCSA6JU2B0W
Waterblock: EK-FC980 GTX Ti TF5 - Nickel
Fluid: Distilled Water (Or go with something that contains anti-corrosives?)
Tubing: XSPC FLX Tubing 3/8" ID
Misc: Y Splitter Adapter x2: Alphacool G1/4 High Flow Rotary Y Connector (GPU Waterblocks aren't compatible with GPU block bridges; upon exiting the pump/res it needs to split into 2 hoses for each GPU intlet and again to meet up upon exit of the GPUs)
My main concerns are the Y splitters. If they would alter performance or pressure of sorts making the pump degrade over time and mounting the pump/res somewhere. As well as any type of small issue that would be foreseeable that wouldn't be obvious to a first timer. Any feedback would be appreciated
