Ok, so to start out, I'm a PC enthusiast, love getting new parts using them, etc. I have several builds that I have done and am by no means new to the PC scene. So, the issue, I recently decided to switch to the new 6th-Generation Intel processors, specifically the i7 6700k. (Full specs later . . .). So, the issue is a Q-Code: 55, according to my motherboard's manual, it claims that there isn't memory installed. I am using G.Skill Trident Z DDR4 3400 16GB (2x8GB). The parts are brand new (haven't even touched them until today), the ram was said to not be supported by the motherboard manufacturer, Asus, however, G.SKILL tested the ram and it is confirmed on their website that it is compatible. Any ideas?
What I've tried:
- Clear CMOS 4x)
- Mem Ok! (4x)
- Reseat RAM (lost count . . .)
- Single Stick Ram (6x)
- Double checked RAM Slots (2x)
- Remounted CPU Waterblock (3x)
Relevant PC Specs:
- Asus z170-Deluxe
- Intel Core i7 6700k
- G.SKILL Trident Z 3400 16GB (2x8GB)
- nVidia GTX Titan
- Corsair h100i
Other notes:
- All parts excluding motherboard, cpu, and RAM were used in previous successful build.
- As far as I've seen, the PC boots, however doesn't POST
