Hi,
I am thinking about setting up a Freenas box (latest stable version currently), and I would like to setup Quad NIC's so that I get a 4gbs throughput, to allow the server to have many more clients pulling data off at the one time (which is what is going to happen). I know how easy it is to do in Windows Server 2012 r2, but am unaware on how to do this in Freenas, as I am new to BSD. If someone could tell me how to setup teaming, it would be great because then I would most defintely switch to freenas.
Thanks

I used to use FreeNas for my Nas, but I wound up switching it over to CentOS 6.5. I have much more control over... everything... by using a full blown OS and hardware support is much more robust.

And of course its an excellent server OS.

Due to licensing issues. So. You can still load it as a kmod. Use it if you want. Don't use it if you want. It still doesn't change the fact that you still have far more control over the OS than one of the prepackaged FreeNAS/NAS4Free solutions.

Teaming btw is trivially easy to setup on CentOS.
