My budget is $1,000
I'd like it to have a GTX 970, an intel i5 6600k, Fractal Define r5.
Those are the parts I'd like to keep constant. I want at least 8GB RAM, and a nice gaming motherboard. This build needs to have WiFi capability. For the power supply, I want something that can power this build well, and not fry everything after a while.Needs to have a monitor and OS. All help is appreciated.

Solution
A build such as this would be extremely limited on options, Your looking at $1,200 for a build with these components.

Bare minimum with the components you want.
The parts you expect for your build encompass $640, add on the monitor and OS, thats $865, leaving $130 for RAM, CPU Cooler (the 6600k does not come with one), power supply, motherboard, and hard drive.

This shows how overclocking is not worth the money. You sacrifice way too much, due to budget, in the process. Not to mention $100+ cases. Wouldn't choose a low end Tier 3 PSU, in such a system either. Long story short, you want too much for too little.
