Hello guys, basically I'm looking to upgrade to a new graphics card that could handle next gen games at ultra. I made a lot of research and firstly was thinking about the Titan X, but I'm playing on a single monitor for now so I don't really need it. Secondly i stopped at the geforce gtx 980 TI, which seems like the TITAN X, but a cheerer version of it.
The current setup that I have is:

Case - PCS MAELSTROM T900 BLACK GAMING CASE
Processor - AMD FX-8350 Eight Core CPU (4.00-4.20GHz/8MB CACHE/AM3+)
Motherboard- ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 (DDR3, USB3.0, 6Gb/s)
Memory -16GB KINGSTON DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz (2 x 8GB)
Graphics Card 2GB AMD RADEON™ R9 270X - DVI, HDMI, DP - DX® 11, Eyefinity 4 Capable
1st Hard Disk 120GB KINGSTON V300 SSD, SATA 6 Gb (450MB/R, 450MB/W)
2nd Hard Disk 1TB 3.5" SATA-III 6GB/s HDD 7200RPM 32MB CACHE
Power Supply CORSAIR 450W VS SERIES™ VS-450 POWER SUPPLY

What would you guys suggest ? My budget is about 600-700, and I'm not sure but do I have to get a better power supply since the new card will demand more power?

Also this was what i was looking at earlier http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/nvidiageforcegraphicscards/nvidiagtx980tiseries/EVGA/06G-P4-4995-KR.html?gclid=CjwKEAjw4s2wBRDSnr2jwZenlkgSJABvFcwQzp9mb9KrM-Wke2s7cRw41QQ-m4wdksds_PI1fQA4PRoCcT_w_wcB#utm_source=google&utm_medium=base&utm_campaign=products

It's price seems relevant. I might also do animation and videos in the future since that's why I'm studying in the moment. So basically is this card going to be able to run next gen games like assassins creed syndicate or the new far cry, coming out next year, at ultra and is it good for rendering and potentially a double monitor in the future?
Please suggest other cards if you think this one isn't good enough/too much.
Thanks !

I have the XFX XTR 650W, which is plenty for a single GPU setup. It's fully modular too. If that's too expensive you can compromise on modularity by going with the XFX TS 650W. Both models are based on a Seasonic platform, and you won't find one person that says Seasonic isn't one of the best in the PSU market.

I would go with a gtx 980 ti. firstly, what resolution are you playing at? if you are playing at 1080p there is no point, because that card will run over 60 fps

on all games... if you are using a 1080p 60hz monitor I would just stick with a gtx 970, as that is kind of the sweet spot for maximum settings 1080p on

aaa titles.

Hi and yeah sorry for the title haha. I'm mostly playing for now on 1920x1080 at 60hz, but as i said i might get another monitor in future time if i start animating or creating videos.

Hello and yeah i agree with you, can you suggest a good PSU ? Not really familiar with PSUs and don't really want to blind pick something i think is good. Thanks for your answer.

First of all keep in mind that GPU are aimed at different objectives, in my case I bought a 980Ti Gigabyte G1 Gaming to play with the maximum settings in 1080p and perhaps in the future 4K, which, besides being a GPU visually attractive, it has an incredible performance in games, and in addition, the GPU can be used in 4K resolution allowing you to adapt to the needs. On the other hand, you should be aware that the GPU and games improve quickly so that even a 295x2 or Titan X will sooner or later GPUs with poor performance

PD. Sorry about my English

Hi and yes i agree with you. However i think that in the next 6 years at least we won't see many, if any, games that have requirements over the 980ti or titan x. I want to buy a good graphics card so i won't need to worry for at least 5 years, so yeah haha, but i completely agree with you.
