Hello all,

Currently using a Gigabyte Brix as a Plex server, but looking to replace it with something a little more capable so it can also double up as a secondary gaming PC (nothing strenuous, able to play MMOs and RTS games), I have some ideas already, but wanted to see if anyone has any better suggestions.

Requirements are:

Small, as it's sat on a cramped desk.
Quiet, it's in our bedroom so has to be inaudible so we can sleep with it on
Efficient/low power, as it's on 24/7

So far I've come up with:
Antec ISK 110 case
Asus H110I-PLUS D3 motherboard (it's very cheap here in the UK)
Intel Pentium G4400
Noctua NH-L9i CPU cooler
4Gb DDR3 1600, whatever is cheapest.

Drives (1Tb Hdd and 128Gb SSD) and OS will be recycled from the Brix. Does this sound good, or does anyone have any better suggestions?

Do you wanna buy it or build it?

Definitely build.

@ Sadams04 thanks for taking the time to read, but your build is not quite what I'm looking for. I asked for low power/efficient, your list is definitely not that. Although that is a good price on an i3, I'll definitely take a look at that.

FYI I already bought the ISK110 case, found one cheap (£23) on Ebay. Now I can't decide on whether to go with Kaveri, Haswell or Skylake.

That pentium could probably overclock too, but I don't see the point in it really for Plex
