Should I buy a SATA III controller to boost HD speed?

Here's the issue:

I have already researched and read two different sets of answers on this topic, but I want to get all your opinions on this.

I bought a Socket 939 motherboard that has SATA II, and both of my hard drives (a Mushkin 60GB SATA III SSD <r/w = 550/520> and a 1TB WD Green SATA III) are now connected to it. Would it be worth it in 2015 (most articles I read were older) to purchase a controller such as this one, or just suck it up with the SATA II? Second, would the difference in speed be negligible, or worth the $25? Last, would the card be bogged down with two hard drives competing for resources on the single controller card?

Main use is for my file server with streaming videos and movies to a connected TV.

Thanks kindly!
