i just bought new WD Blue (10EZEX) HDD . When I plugged in to the motherboard only first time it appears and asking to initialize .
when i did, it said "Incorrect Function" ,then i plugged in to other sata ports then computer would not detect it.
Does this mean it's faulty?

Motherboard : Asus Z97 Pro Gamer

Hi there boything,

Sorry that you are facing some issues with your WD drive. :(

This is a secondary drive right?

Try attaching the drive with different cables(both SATA and power ones). It is strange that it is detected by only one SATA port. It may be a good idea to attach it to a different system. In case the issue persists, then most probably there is something wrong with the drive. You can contact the retailer or WD's Support and eventually RMA it: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=yIXWXA

I guess you can try testing it with WD's DLG tool as well: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=TFftBF

Let me know how this goes,
D_Know_WD :)
