Hey everybody,

I just completed my build, everything works great. Just one question though. When I turn off my computer, my motherboard lights are still on. They are flashing red. I was wondering if that was normal, and how do I turn them off when I turn the PC off? Right now, I have to switch off the powersupply in order to turn them off.

Any help would be appreciated.

My mother board - Asus z170 Pro Gaming Motherboard

Thanks!

Don't know about this specific MB but usually mobo lights turn on as long as the power supply is plugged in, even if the computer is off.

So yeah, I'd say normal but you should check in your mobo's manual anyway (flashing red lights has never been a sign of "normal", ever).

Hello, I currently have a Asus Z170 Pro gaming motherboard. So inside the box they have a install/Driver disk for the motherboard. On the disk they have a program called Asus Ai Suite 3. Install that program and it will give you access to a bunch of info. They have a tab on that setting callled LED. Those settings will allow you to turn off the flashing Red motherboard lights, and also the flashing Audio lights. Hope this helps.

Doesn't that turn them off completely though?

Most people would want them on when the PC is on, and off when its off rather than just either constantly on or constantly off

It's possible:
In BIOS/ Advanced Menu, Onboard Devices Configuration, APM Configuration, enable ErP Ready.

Advanced -> onboard Devices Configuration -> Model name LED Lighting-> Disable
its disable 5 led and
Advanced -> onboard Devices -configuration -> SupremeFx LED Lighting -> Disable its disable track led . you can change model (Good luck)
