Hello,
The tile says all pretty much but let me try and break it down a bit.
I got a stable OC at 4.6Ghz with 1.351v in bios and 1.36v in CPU-Z.
The vcore never went higher than 1.36v in cpu-z and hwMonitor during any stress test and system was rock solid stable. In bios this was set to Adaptive mode with max vcore manually set to 1.351v. LLC Auto. No XMP.

Today, I updated the bios to the latest version because this update included the manual option for adjusting fclk.

So after the bios update I had to manually re-enter the previous settings. After the system booted, I checked cpu-Z and hwMonitor and was suprised my vcore jumping into 1.4v+. Before the bios update with the same settings the vcore never broke 1.36v. But now after the update it goes over 1.4v.
If I change from Adaptive to Manual mode I could control the peak vcore. But with Adaptive mode I can't seem to control the vcore.
If I keep it at manual mode the vcore doesn't drop down even at idle. Just stays at the fixed number.

Has any one else got this problem after the bios update?

Actually I did try setting LLC at 1, 5, 6 and 7. The vcore still spikes over 1.4v at each setting.

:(

It could be a bios bug that was fixed in later versions of the BIOS /if ANY/. If you haven't found a solution , give it a try by updating the bios /with newer version/
PS: I ment if there is another , newer version. Otherwise you have 2 options:
1) Downgrade the BIOS to the previous version you have used
2) Contact Motherboad's support and inform them for a possible bios bug.I had a bios bug before and although they didn't respond quite fast - they contacted me to explain the bug in details.

Well, I tried...
This was the reply they sent me...

"We appreciate your time in reaching Escalations and I would like to extend my sincerest apology for all the difficulties that you have with ASUS.

I would greatly suggest that you need to get in touch with our Product Specialist at 1-812-282-2787 for them to further assist you with your concern with the motherboard.

Thank you.

ASUS Customer Care"

What's the point of using emails if they want you to call them...? :(

UPDATE: there's a new version of the Bios available v.1203.

This update totally fixed the problem, the cpu vcore is now solid! Doesn't exceed 1.36v at any stress tests @4.6Ghz!!!

Asus, you are awesome!
