Is it possible for me to get a big computer company to make my system/build/rig?

The reason I'm asking is because I am looking at having the production crowd-funded afterwards. e.g. back idea with <insert cost + about £50> and get one free.

If you want to contact a company, call their office and ask to speak with someone about partnering to build computers. Don't know why anyone would bother though since they can do that just as easily if not easier without anyone else being involved. How are you going to market the systems? What will make your systems any better than anything else the company can sell on their own or people can build on their own. Do you think that no-one ever thought of buying parts, building them and selling for more than they paid to buy them? That's the basis of every single PC company on the planet.
Look on the web, quite a few companies specialise in custom-builds to customers' specifications.
Obviously it depends where you live owing to shipping costs.

Not companies who make factory built computers though (eg Packard Bell, Acer, Toshiba etc) they don't build them to order.

All contact details will be on each company's website, you specify what components you require on their website too, then proceed to entering your payment details.

Crowd-funding? I haven't a clue what that is. I guess you mean a "bulk order" - - lol
It depends on that company's policy.

Crowd-funding is where a company/person/group wants to make or do something but needs the funds.

For example a company wants to make a video game but needs £124500 budget so the get people that like the game's idea to donate money. When people have committed the required amount of cash they take it (the cash) and get to work building the game.

Rewards are also usually given to people that support the project. Rewards might include a free copy of the game/product and a project themed mug or t-shirt if for example you commit £65 while somebody that commits £10 might just get the mug/t-shirt.

Also, when I say companies, it refers to ones like Dell or Lenovo.

Means people would get the a copy of the product for backing the production.

And why would people do that? they can order it by themselves.

Could you show me a custom computer specialist that will build my build for £450? Sorry but I don't think you could.
Now how about my build for even less? That's where mass production usually steps in. But does any of the big companies sell what I've got set up there? Not that I know.

Now, that's where my idea comes in because the companies would only build a design if they're going to get a profit. So... Crowd-funding is key. But nobody's going to fund prices like that unless the get something for it so the idea is they pay just over the production cost per pc and get it when the pc goes into production.

Would it be cheaper to just buy a prebuild?
