My build is a6350 cpu with 8 gigs of ram and now an XFX r9 380 4g gpu . When i first benchmarked the card on valley i got more fps than my last card (HD5870) but nearly the same score , and when i benchmarked in borderlands two i got 150+ fps for a bit and after 10 min i was dropping below 30 and the fan on my cpu (stock) was running like a jet . I suspect that i have a massive bottleneck regarding my cps and graphics card . my card is cool and quiet like a champ and my cpu is sweating .I think it turbos up to 4.4 ghz to keep up in game and then gets warm so it has to throttle down it's clock speed and can't work properly . I have a hyper 212 evo on the way to cool this poor fellow but i think that the i5 4590 looks appetising . Do you guys think that it's my cpu that does it ? or is it not possible that the cpu is throttling ? (btw i recently changed my cpus' thermal paste and dusted my fan and heatsink so it's definently not that :p)

Always completely uninstall the drivers and install fresh ones, even if the card should be supported by the old ones. Drivers can be ridiculously finicky for no obvious reason, so it's best to try it even if it shouldn't be needed.

Although the CPU is weak, a graphics upgrade should never reduce performance when installed properly. You might not get your FPS to increase much, but it should not decrease. At the least, you can still increase the graphics settings without dropping FPS much in order to get some use out of the upgrade by shifting the bottleneck towards the GPU.
