What frequency RAM should I buy for my PC?

I have a system with AMD FX 4100, 2x 2GB DDR3 RAM 1333MHz
and Gigabyte 78LMT-S2PT board.
the gigabyte website says this board supports memory frequency- 1333+(O.C)/1066/800MHz

I am planning to buy an 8gb ram.
Corsair Vengeance(1600MHz) or Kingston HyperX FURY(1866MHz)
Will my board be able to handle it or will the RAM run 'underclocked'?

your board say it supports 1333+(O.C)/1066/800MHz, so it is better to follow that...if you want to have higher freq ram, then find a board that support it

According to Gigabytes specs, this board won't accept RAM with a higher freq than 1333MHz

you can use higher frequency ram in this motherboard but it will be downgraded to 1333mhz. and im not "posting generic answers everywhere" im simply informing people of a site that can check compatibility

The board will underclock any ram over 1333MHz. You can buy faster ram and use it and if you ever upgrade your board that supports faster ram you will be set.
