Hi,
Today I was browsing online and I saw a thread about overclocking, without thinking straight and any hesitation I gave it a go; I changed few small settings and saved the bios and after rebooting my screen remains black, I'd be really grateful if you guys could help me out :/
Ps my MOBO is really old (lol) Foxconn g31mxp

Odd, i wouldn't have thought a foxconn would allow any kind of overclocking!

You need to "Clear your CMOS"
You can do this by removing the little battery for a few seconds but that can be a pain.
You should have 3 pins on your Motherboard and whats called a "jumper", a little plug in it connecting two of the pins.
Take that little plug and move it so the remaining pin is connected to the middle one, and power on. It should boot normally.
Then shut her down and move the little plug back to where it was.

This is how you clear your CMOS and most computers. Google your exact mobo to find this jumper.

Dont try to overclock on some OEM foxconn motherboard they are junk for lack of a better word and nothing about them was designed for an overclocked CPU. Yes i agree you need to clear the CMOS if you cant figure out the jumper, on most motherboards you just have to remove the battery while its unplugged for a few minutes and that will clear the CMOS.

Okay, so I tried to clear the CMOS but it doesnt seem to work, Im going to tell you what steps I used;
1) Removed the Power cord from the supplier
2) Took out the battery for around 2 minutes
3) Changed the jumper from pin 1/2 to pin 2/3 for around 2-3 minutes aswell.
4) placed the battery inside along placing the jumper to its original position (1/2)
5) pluged the Power cord into the supplier and turned on my pc; nothing, still black screen as it was before.

Maybe I did something wrong? If you have any suggestions or advice; you can feel free to tell me them
