What I'm aiming for is gaming at 1080p with high/ultra settings. I dont need peripherals yet and I'm good for headsets. The theme for the build is black, red but, a black/white or maybe (if the parts look nice enough) a black/blue. Limit is about $1000 canadian, if you go a little over, its fine, as i'm looking to purchase all the parts around Christmas and boxing day. Also, it's mATX and if anyone knows of any full RGB LED case fans, that would be nice too. The parts that I want in the system, for sure, are 1) Intel Core i5-4690k. 2) MSI GeForce GTX 970 Twin Frozr 3) BitFenix Aegis Core Black. Anything else can different. I chose the Twin Frozr because of the red/black theme to it, but if there is different colors, for different themes, thats cool.

Thanks for your help!

A well balanced system for your wishes would be this right now:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-4590 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor ($249.99 @ DirectCanada)
Motherboard: MSI B85M GAMING Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($117.99 @ Amazon Canada)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133...
You may have to tune those specs a bit, It seems like just the 3 listed parts will be in the 800-900 range before tax. You still need power/board/storage/fans(if you want something fancy)/OS

With the CAD low as it is, prices are not favorable.

As said above, you should post closer to the build date since things change fast.

I know, I'm not deciding fully on it right now, but I want to get an idea of what too look for when xmas comes around. Then I don't have to compare 200 parts to each other.

Yeah this is true aswell. As it is we are looking at a build that costs about 1300 CAD.

I think I meant the 960 not 970 haha. Unless the 960 won't actually achieve my goals here.
