Hello,

I recently purchased a Nvidia GTx 750ti (2 GB) graphics card and I am going to use that card with my Nvidia GT 640 (3 GB). My question is, if I have a 300 Watt power supply could I be pushing its capabilities running two video cards? Here is my estimation of resource use based on specifications from the manufacturers. Based on this should I upgrade my Power Supply?

Hard drive = 10W
Mother Board = 50W
RAM =
Video Card 2 = 60W
Video Card 1 = 75W
Processor = 70W

265W's used without RAM in the equation

I have 16 GB of DDR3 ram in my computer and an Intel i5-3350P @ 3.10 GHz for the processor.

Thanks for your help!

You would definitely want a 400-450W power supply. No matter if you run both video cards or not.
Also, by having the 2 gpus in, you are pretty much only wasting power.
dual monitor set-up doesn't really lower the performance of 750Ti at all.
What CPU do you have and is it overclocked, and make and model of the PSU?
I'm thinking it's not going to work as you will be close to 300W and you never want to run a PSU at it's max, especially if it's a cheaper model. But, if it turns out you have a good PSU and a low wattage CPU then you might just get away with it, still a new PSU would probably be a good idea.
BTW, you can't SLI those two cards.

Okay so my Processor is an Intel i5-3350P @ 3.10 GHz not overclocked and my exact PSU is AcBel PSU - 350W peak, Model HBA008-ZA1GT. Apparently it has a 350W peak even though it oddly says 286.4W total wattage on the PSU itself...

Yeah I know that I can't run SLI which sucks but wouldn't having two cards be better? If I wanted to run dual-monitors it should take the load off of the one video card I would think? I don't know I'm fairly new to how video cards work and perform. Just trying to improve the quality of gaming for myself.. Anyways my PSU is AcBel PSU - 350W peak, Model HBA008-ZA1GT ,

Based on your recommended tool with just one video card being the Nvidia GTX 750ti, my recommended minimum Power Supply is 289W, cutting it close. However my PSU says that its peak wattage is 350W which is weird because it says 286W total. The model of my PSU is AcBel PSU - 350W peak, Model HBA008-ZA1GT . Thanks for your help!

Okay so you're recommending that I get a better PSU? Do you have any recommendations on good brands?
