MB: Asus M5A99x evo R2.0
CPU: Fx-8320
Ram: 16gb corsair
HDD: sandisk SDD / 500 gb hdd
GPU: geforce GTX 750ti
Okay so I have been using this computer for 2 years now with new upgrades along the way. Today I was using my computer with no problems at all then I went to work. I come home to find my computer doesn't want to display anything. I have not been inside it nor touched it in a few months and never have had problems. It hasn't shown any signs of failing.
I went through the long checklist that gets linked around from similar questions and still nothing, also called ASUS to go through their troubleshooting which failed. I removed the battery, switched gpu spots, mem ok button, etc etc.
I have no idea what would have caused this to just fail like this out of nowhere. I do have a bad habit of never turning my PC off. But it does go into sleep mode a lot.
Is my CPU bad or my motherboard. I think I might just order the same motherboard and check if that fails then it must be the CPU. I desperately need this computer to work as I use it heavily for school and cannot believe it just stopped out of nowhere. If someone could confirm if I should approach it as the MB being faulty or start with the CPu?
Thanks.
