I'm now a big fan of AMD but i had board powered nvidia's -- then I got this r7 260 online sale -- it was awesome for my MOBA PC and free to play games.

here's what I did :

1.Took pictures of r7 260 :)
2.install gpu -- works fine then after an hour , BSOD and random black screen but it works so I'm fine with it
3. on my 2nd day gaming -- DOTA 2 crashed and other free to play games -- weird !! :0 coz r7 240 never had that issue! with my 500W Aerocool strike X and my r9 280 never had issues playing offline games with OC.

Summary:
Is it possible that someone could have flash the GPU bios before selling that r7 260? or AMD catalyst could have deleted the GPU bios since i'm doing 3 uninstall drivers a day to avoid atikpdag.sy issues and I did expand it to atikpdag.sys .

Solution
Hello

Yes someone can flash the BIOS on a GPU and install a custom one to help with overclocking, just check if that is not the case. You can download the original BIOS and flash it if that is the case.

Hope this helps :)

Drivers don't change card firmware. (Not BIOS, Bios = Basic Input Output System)
Your PSU should be fine.
Check it's running at stock speeds.
Check what firmware the board is running using GPUZ
There should be a sticker on the board somewhere which tells you what the card is meant to be.
If it matches, do not re-flash the board, return it.

Thanks Guys!! I enjoy the troubleshooting journey for GPU sabotage :) and a step closer for extreme overclocking, but I sent it back to the online merchant and sent an email to Asus for clarification.
