Is my computer stronger than a PS4/XBONE?

I have a PC that I built fairly recently and my friend is telling me its not as strong as a PS4. He's not into PC gaming or building so I don't think he knows what he's talking about. So I was wondering if you could give your opinions.

My Specs:
PSU: r9 390 gaming 8gb
Ram: 2x4gb ddr
Mobo: GA-990FXA-UD3 R5
CPU: FX-8350
PSU: XFX XTR 650watt
OS: Win10 64bit

Your computer is far stronger than a PS4 and XBOne. For one, those two can't output the same resolution, nor is the processor anywhere near as fast.

This is an age old question that brings out zealots on both sides of the fence, however facts are facts.

its wayyyyy more powerfull than a ps4. you can game at 1440p at 60fps and the ps4 fails to deliver constant 60fps at 900p.

fallout 4 will be best on pc cause of mod and stuff. and i am quite sure it will run much better on your pc.
battlefront beta is already out and it runs best on PCs with amd hardware

Easily stronger than Xbone and ps4 bar a long way. The person of course doesn't play pc games only consoles. There have been games like Star Wars battle front where they have compared against consoles and the pictures are sharper because it can do high res. The graphics card is a new and card which are good powerful cards.

We have an Xbone and gaming pc and prefere my PC any day.

Your CPU is about 2.5 times more powerful and your GPU is about 8 times more powerful than the GPU component on the PS4.

both games will be optimized for both. AFAIK PS4 is going to run 900p 60FPS and XBone 720p 60FPS on Battlefront. Right now Betas are struggling to maintain 50FPS on both. I suspect Fallout will run 1080p on PS4 and 900p on XBone., maybe 1080p on both if they drop the framerate. Your PC should play either at 1080p and >100 FPS or 1440p and 60 FPS (you never gave a monitor spec.). The only unknown is Fallout since it has very high processor recommendations and Bethesda games are known to be CPU hogs over GPU. The recommend Haswell i7 or the AMD 9590 (basically an 8350 clocked to 4.7GHz)
