Hi, i don't really know much about laptops, hyperthreading, and everything else :D, so i need help, witch laptop should i choose?,
ASUS R510JX 1366 x 768 i7-4720HQ 8 GB ram NVIDIA GeForce GTX950M 2048 MB or
LENOVO IdeaPad Y50-70 1920 x 1080 i5-4210H 8GB ram NVIDIA GeForce GTX960M 4096 MB.
The price in one of the shops in my country is the same for both laptops.
I need PC mostly for work where i multitask a lot and my old computer could not handle it, but i will play occasionally demanding games like new batman. Will i feel the difference between I7 and I5 in gaming and regular work?. Should i choose much better I7, or FHD montitor and better nvidia card?.

Solution
In this case the ASUS will be the best in gaming.
While the 960 GPU in the Lenovo is better, 950M @ 1366x768 > 960m @ 1920x1080.

FYI in laptops you really need to pay attention to the letter at the end.
The U versions are battery efficient, while the Q versions are the high performance, so a U i7 is just a normal i3 + turbo core. Thus a U i7 would actually be less powerful then a Q i5.

Now if your work is not video rendering, engineering, 3d modeling or anything highly cpu intensive then you wont see a difference between an i5 and an i7.

So at the end of the day if you don't need the 1080p resolution for fine detail then I would go with the Asus laptop.

You want good hyperthreading? Choose the first one with the i7 processor. This processor is the best for that

The difference in gaming with the i7 and i5 is minimal. Why? The i7 only gives more benefits if virtualizing, or rendering videos on a PC. The i5 is more gamer specific, budget friendly.

So if your doing video editing/rendering, heavy multitasking, or PC virtualization get the laptop with the i7. If your just gaming, get the one with the i5

You would get playable fps using either one of those gtx graphics cards in games like gta 5

It sounds like the Lenovo might a be a bit better for what you are looking for. Like Reyaz said the i7 is only better if you do video/graphics rendering work.

What about the hard drive are they both HDD or does one have an SSD?

I can't vouch for either one being built better than the other though. Which is always my concern with laptops. The OEMs love to sneak in cheap parts in them even when they have seemingly good specs otherwise.
