My nexus 7 2013 cant for the love of me charge from a micro usb cable, anything I throw at it with several different adapters and cables can't seem to charge it. So I gave up on it, its been sitting for nearly 3 months now. I buy a wireless charger for my dad's note 3. I test it out with my nexus (thinking it wouldn't work ) it turns out it did work I let it sit for 15 minutes and it turns on. Giddy for resurrecting the holy nexus I try to plug it in to a micro usb port, nothing again, my question is why won't it work with a micro usb port I don't feel I damaged it in anyway, so why would it do that.

Sounds like some sort of damage to the micro usb port be it a lose connection or whatever. The wireless gets power through a different circuit so it isn't affected by the usb port
