Monitor turns random color, goes black, then everything turns off except power light

I like to use my desktop primarily for gaming. I usually play league of legends so I haven't noticed this problem until now. When I try to play any new game (made in the last year), the game starts and I can play it for about 10 seconds before my monitor turns a random color (on multiple monitors both are different color) and my sound loops. Then the screen goes black, the sound stops, the case fans stop, but the power stays on. This happens during games like The Witcher 3 and Mortal Kombat X but doesn't usually happen during League of Legends. Rarely it does happen in League and one time it didn't happen during the Witcher 3 and I was able to play for an extended period of time. It also only seems to crash in the first 10 seconds, if it doesn't the game usually never ends up crashing.

My setup is:
OS: Windows 10 64-bit
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3330 CPU @3.00GHz 3.00GHz
RAM: 8.00 GB
Video Card: NVidia GTX 970
PSU: Rosewill Photon-750, 750W

Please help me solve this issue or tell me what to do to provide more information.

I did monitor temperatures during a crash and I'm pretty sure they were not high enough to cause a crash. Is there a way to confirm it's the power supply without buying a new one?

I looked at the description for my PSU again and it said that it runs at 750W@40C. I don't think my PC runs that low during intensive games. But please keep me updated.

It most likely does, most of your other components will run hotter but I believe most psu's don't have heat sensors on them, not sure how you actually check the heat of them though you'll have to google it.

But the problems that started with what I thought was my gpu now have me certain it's the motherboard, going to replace it soon will let you know.
