Should I get a better graphics card or 144Hz monitor?

I just need a flat out answer on what I should get first new monitor? Currently I have a 1400x900 60hz monitor. OR should I just get a new card? Which I currently have an MSI GTX 750 to a R9 390X. What should I get first? Any recommendations on what to choose first?

A GTX 750 will never push 144FPS. Get a 390 non-X, anything more is such overkill for 900p. Even a 390 is overkill for 900p. Or get a GTX 970. And what PSU do you have, and CPU?

XFX units are good, any of those GPUs will be fine.

Yes get a card first. 390X is a great card.

yep get a card first, you will need it to push past 100fps. getting a 144hz will not be of much use if your rig can't push the frames. so gpu now, then monitor later
