the 280X is a great card (i currently have the gigabyte card) overclocking is a pain in the ass and dumps a lot and i mean A LOT of heat and is starting to slow down in next gen games. the 290 would be more future proof but the 290X is rapidly dropping in price (well on newegg australia anyway) but also the 960 and 970 aren't bad cards either but obviously cost more.

the 8350 is a slowish CPU but manages to keep up in games with a but of overclocking on it it will do great as long as you play 1080P and turn a setting or two down you will be fine
