Hello everyone, thanks for taking the time to read this! In short, I am looking at getting a new GPU to play Battlefront, along with other games such as GTAV, but specifically I'm curious to see what everyones reaction is to how their cards can handle Battlefront, your average FPS. I'm trying to figure out how much I should really spend. I lean more towards the NVIDIA side, I like the GeForce products.
I know a GTX 750 ti would be a bare, bare minimum, I owned one and it handled GTAV well on medium settings and Battlefield also. My real concern is it worth the extra money to buy a GTX 970 instead of settling with a GTX 960, which the 960 will probably run Battlefront great. I owned both the GTX 960 and 970 and in GTAV I noticed about a 20 FPS difference, which did make the 970 worth the extra hundred dollars or so to get a solid 55 FPS on max settings with my setup. I guess I'm looking for real feedback to see if the difference in FPS between something like the 960 or 970 is worth the extra money.
I love to max games out, so if I could get a near solid 60 fps with the GTX 960 on max settings (ultra settings, ultra textures, etc., but relatively low anti-aliasing ie: 2x) in Battlefront that would be great. I will be doing moderately high overclocking also. Since I currently own no card I can't test the game myself, thats where your opinion comes in and I'd love to hear what you all have to say. Thanks!
