So I have the Avermedia Liver Gamer HD, and for some reason, REcentral keeps automuting and there is no sound being played at all. Nothing through speakers and there are no playback devices showing receiving sound. Additionally, I searched for disabled devices, and all of my devices are being shown. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both Recentral and the drivers for the capture card and still getting nothing. Any ideas??

So I contacted Avermedia, and I had them remote into my computer and they fixed it! I don't know exactly what they did, but after completely uninstalling everything, the reinstalled everything as an administrator, then once the drivers and application was reinstalled through Administrator, they went to the Avermedia folder and changed the recentral exe to "RECentral1.exe" and from there, its worked. I don't know the specifics, but if anyone else is havin similar issues, give this a go, or contact their support.

Yes, I did that from the website, but I am still having the same problem. Additionally, while looking at the sound mixer, every time Recentral opens, the sound auto mutes. Additionally, the sound isn't being heard from any of my devices, and the sound mixer doesn't see anything.

So the FIRST attempt it did work. Sound was up and everything. Then after hitting "mute" on REcentral for the first time, everything just stopped. Yes, windows is currently up to date (Win 10 x64), and the BIOS is also up to date to my knowledge. Nothing had changed in my system from the time it was working since it stopped, and the default audio device is speakers. Whenever I unmute Recentral manually from Volume mixer it shows sound should be playing, but none of my playback devices are picking it up anymore. Additionally, I have all disabled/disconnected devices showing and they dont appear to be showing anything.

Yes it is. I am currently on Recentral Version 1.3.0.94 and Driver V3.3.64.52 Firmware v22. I had the console going in via HDMI and then I just went from my PC to watch the system. The sound was coming through my headphones great at first when played, but then on my 4th attempt at running the application, thats when it began to automute itself and stop playing sound in general.

Have the same exact problem you have. System was working fine for me and then, out of nowhere, sound dropped. Adjusting in Volume Mixer does no good even though the meter shows there is volume being received (the meter shows green bumps).

I noticed the application automatically mutes itself in Volume Mixer upon start-up. Have tried reinstalling to no avail.

One point - it's definitely a Windows issue (I have 7 64bit) as I run Avermedia in Windows on my iMac through Bootcamp - this is where the problem exist. I also run it through iOS and don't have the volume problem (iOS poses latency problems for me).

I'm unable to post a screen shot but my Sound settings show "Speakers" as default and "Headphones" disabled. If I enable the headphones they become default. Either way, all other programs/applications volume works fine, just the problems with REcenter/Avermedia.

I had the same issue, opened ticket at avermedia just now.

Renaming recentral.exe to recentral1.exe fixes the issue but c'mon... :)
its a bug in avermedia software OR in windows sound mixer, no idea.

(win10 x64 with all updates, livegamer hd, recentral 1.3.0.96, drv 3.3.64.52, fw22)
