I want to know if this is a good enough rig for playing games like GTA 5 and bf4 at 40-50 fps with at least medium to high settings.

I'm mainly concerned about the mobo and don't know if it will cause me any problems in the future because of its old age.

My budget is at most 600$. That includes peripherals.

This is a solid build and that gtx 960 will manage to get you an excellent performance for any game on 1080p, just a small note regarding the motherboard, though it will be more expensive but have you considered this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157547&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

*A bit more research is needed to make sure that cpu will work..

The Xenon X5667 is Westmere and the dual core it is replacing is Nehalem.

*There is always some risk in going used and doing cpu swaps..

Well good luck. I ran out of time to look up more things about it.

$249.00 Dell Precision T3500 Workstation, 1x Intel Xeon W3530 2.8GHz Quad Core CPU, 6GB memory, 1TB hard drive, NVIDIA Quadro FX1800, Windows 7 Professional Installed

Maybe ditch the cpu swap and this one has 6gb instead of 4gb of memory and 1tb HDD.
