Couple of months sgo, I made a bios update on my laptop. Apparently, something got messed up, because an error started to occur ( it was something like "is4 network error" or similair, on a blue screen, after i tried to start my laptop).

I somehow managed to fix it, by making first boot priority mode "legacy" and second one "uefi". I have no idea what the priorities were before. The problem is that when I change the bios settings into the default ones, the boot error occurs again. (which means whatever got messed up during the bios update, can't be fixed even by ressetting to factory settings). That's why I use the above mentioned settings.

Ever since then, I have used my laptop normally, by using the legacy and uefi modes, but I guess I can never switch back to normal settings again.

Any idea how to fix that? And does it make a difference to my laptop if I use it the same way I have used it the last couple of months, with those current settings? Thank you and appreciated.

Every laptop is different, you will have better luck trying to find a solution if you head straight to the forum supporting your particular laptop's make and model. Google is always a quick way to find ANYTHING most of the time.

You have come to a generic forum, you need specific info for your specific laptop.

For future reference, BIOS updates should be done when absolutely necessarily. You are told, by tech support or otherwise a BIOS update will fix a problem you are having, but otherwise you should not touch your BIOS, is dangerous, and often times, you cannot Go Back.
