If you were to buy a 970 with the specs the same from each manufacture they would all perform within 1-2 FPS of each other. Its only when you get into the SC, FTW, SSC versions that you might see some differences since each manufacture might have a slightly different speed on the card.

If your also not looking to overclock at all then i would look at a blower style card since it will...
I would go with EVGA, Customer service was A #1 both times i have called them. No jumping through hoops, explained the problem to them they gave me a RMA number. Sent the card in and a few days later got an email that it was bad and they were sending a replacement.

EVGA if certain about 970. Would recommend an MSI R9 390... which is strange for me to recommend AMD products but at this moment I see no more reason to go with a 970 over a 390 considering the 390 is marginally better.. And cheaper..

Pretty much all 970's perform about the same. It comes down to the individual card.
