So, in the past 2 weeks my internet starts having really slow internet(Wi-Fi and Ethernet) during the day, but in the evening/night I'm having a good internet connection, regular ping, etc.
and in all games I play im having high ping. I've tried calling both my ISP and the provider, they're telling that it's not their problems, and it's probably a problem in my laptop/computer. Even in my other computer which is where the modem and router connected too is slow. My router is pretty new too, which I don't think is the problem. I've tried a virus scan, restarting all computers and the modem and router too. I'm going to upgrade my internet soon, but I don't think will fix the problems during the day. I checked in speedtest too and its showing me I'm having the connection i'm supposed to have. I'm really lost in what to do..

Afternoon,

This is pretty odd, in most cases people have slower internet in the evening due to high load except you are saying you are having better internet speeds in the evening than the day...

Anyhow, have you tried plugging the device into the router directly with an Ethernet cable (if the device supports it)?

Here are a couple of things that you can do, all of this will help you in some shape or form.

If you are using a PC (which you most likely are) follow these instructions.

Open a command prompt window (run as administrator)

You can find it by searching 'cmd.exe' (without the quotes) in the search box upon pressing the start button.

iphonfig /release

ipconfig /renew

ipconfig /flushdns

Do all of this in one window and...

Do all of this in one window and input each command pressing enter after each one.

After that I would like you to watch this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DjkwHn_LE30

Follow everything that the guy says except when he inputs the new DNS Server addresses use these:

Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8
Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4

Some of this isn't relevant to your situation although everything here will help your connection and troubleshoot issues.

After all of this here is a final command if with you should try

netsh winsock reset

Be sure to restart your computer after using all THREE commands above and then after you use the 'netsh winsock reset' command after.

Post back with results regarding your connection status / speed.

Regards,

Network congestion is typically what causes slowdowns during certain times of the day. Some ISP's/areas suffer this a great deal. When I was on a DSL line majority of slowdown calls I got were in congested areas and you were basically SOL.

Network congestion is typically around rush hour in the morning, rush hour in the evening/afternoon, near bed time for typical 9-5 workers, noon. Times your typical person is online steaming videos.
Other causes could be wireless interference if you are on a wireless connection, high bandwidth users in your neighborhood and overloaded ISP equipment in the area, etc.

Try to narrow it down to whether it is on your side or their side(which can be a little tricky). Take the router out of the equation and try running different machines off the modem directly when you are having issues. If you still have issues it is either on their side, or it is a signal issue across the physical cable between you and their equipment, part of which is considered "yours".
