Hey guys, i am currently building a pc for uni stuff by myself. I ordered all the components, but I am having a hard time putting it together.
First thing, specs:
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/MFQKrH

Problems I am having right now:

1. Plugging in Reset SW and Power SW. How do I plug them in --> See photo!

2. I got two stock chassis fans, each coming with a 3pin connector. My motherboard only comes with one 4pin connector (chassis-whise) and one 4pin for the cpu cooler. Is there a way to connect both fans (I guess I will be needing both)?

Thats it for now, I hope I described it so you guys will understand what I mean :p

Solution
Right mate been looking at this.

Your case fans are both 3 pin & can only be controlled by voltage
Your board only supports fan control by pwm which means any fans connected directly to the board will run full speed all the time.
Personally this would drive me bat shit crazy;-)

I'm assuming from your last link your German & can buy from amazon.de??

If so I've found a dirt cheap solution

Front 140mm fan to the 7v
Side 120mm fan to the 5v
One of the rear f8 tc fans to the 12v
Other rear f8 tc fan to the 4pin motherboard header.

This will run both intakes at a reduced speed - corsair...

You could do the power button and reset buttons vertically or horizontally, all the switches do is short the positive and ground and that starts the computer. Not sure about the cables for your case, but my power and reset cables have a white ground cable and a colored cable. The dots in each of the connectors is to mark which pin the colored wire goes into. The top GND pin should have nothing connected to it.

Also for the fans, you can buy a fan splitter, or if you have a 3/4pin to molex converter you can hook the fan up directly to the PSU (it will always run at 100% and probably produce noise).

Thank you for your quick reply!

I do have the molex converter - can I just plug the 3pin connector into the 4 pin "receiver"?

Power & Reset SW solvedd - ty!

So I should not keep the 390? Or install extra fans?
Reddit people gave a Go to this build..

Nothing wrong with the 390 BUT you need to get exhausts in the case mate - that twin fan model keeps 80% of the hot air in the case.
A 390 is not really what I'd consider an mitx friendly GPU.

What I do have a problem with is running a 390 on a cx500 though in all honesty.
You are pushing it in that respect IMO - there are far better PSU's for the same money.

Do you have all these parts now already ??

yes i got them all.. reddit "experts" told me cx500 is gonna be enough (i was about to take the cx600).
will a pci slot exhaust be enough?

Its not that a good quality 500w PSU isn't enough (it is but only barely) its that the cx500 is not that great quality , for $10 more you could have got a seasonic based 520-550w modular model.
It'll run your system but as I said is not particularly good quality.

Rear cooling wise 2 of these.

+ 1 of these

Those fans have an in line thermostat & a built in voltage regulator - force the black thermistat into the CPU cooler fins & the fans will ramp up & down depending on CPU temp even when connected by 4 pin molex.

Thanks for your answers and patience :)! I will stick with the psu for now, but will buy 2 of those fans you linked.
Just one last question: Can I use THIS cable to connect all 4 fans to the 4pin slot?

If all fans were the same size & similar rpm I would say yes.
BUT

You'll end up with 1x140mm fan
1x120mm fan
2x80mm fan.

You're better off keeping them independent of each other mate as they are so variable to each other.
Do it as suggested - the 2x80mm exhausts are fine on the same cable - keep the other separate.

Damn it madmatt, I can't stop asking.
Which of the fans should I connect directly to the psu, which one(s) to the 4pin.

Thinking of an easy way for me:

1. Connect the 80mm-fans via y-splitter directly to the psu
2. buy two 120mm fans (front and side, 4pin fans) and connect them to the motherboard via a 4pin to 2x 4pin module.

Would that work?

How would I be installing if not buying those 120mm fans and instead using the stock fans?

QUESTIONS OVER QUESTIONS! :??:

Front 140mm fan to the 7v
Side 120mm fan to the 5v
One of the rear f8 tc fans to the 12v
Other rear f8 tc fan to the 4pin motherboard header.

This will run both intakes at a reduced speed - corsair 120mm fans spin up fine at 5v.
You'll still get a constant airflow into the case & I honestly think even at those reduced speeds it will be plenty.

The 80mm temp controlled fans will vary themselves based on internal case temps - you can stick the thermal diodes where you like - as I said they squeeze nicely between the stock Intel cooler fins & will ramp up under CPU usage.
