hello....my segate backup slim hdd is no more detected by computer and also not showing in device manager and disk management.please help me.
 
Solution
First, try the drive on another PC or device to confirm this issue is present on other devices.

Do you get the usb plugged in sound from your computer? If yes then it's either not getting enough power to the drive or the windows needs to be told to re-import the drive

if the problem is Not enough power - Add external power
1) Buy a power device or a cable that plugs into 2 usb.

If The hdd enclosure controller circuit is Bad
1) buy a new hdd enclosure and move drive into that or use warranty claim.

If the Drive is making any type of clicking noise, then the HD itself is bad and the only way to recover the data would be a Data Recovery Center that specializes in pulling Data off of non-working or mechanically failed drives. This...
