MY roomate put in my new graphics card and power source, I was unconfident with putting in the new parts as the tutorials looked completely different from my pc.

Go into bios and turn off the integrated graphics. This will give you more of the 8GB RAM to use. Should start with setting optimized defaults in bios, then turn off the integrated graphics. Some board bios' have the option to turn on integrates graphics only if there is no PCIe graphics installed. After setting optimized defaults, make sure the memory speed and timings are correct too. The speed and timings are very important and can cause problems like you describe if they are not set up correctly. Don't forget to save bios settings and exit.

How do I go into bios ect?

And how will I know when the timings, ect are correct?

Don't know what MB you have but tapping the "delete" during boot normally get's you into the BIOS. You should have a MB manual too. If not, you can download a copy of it at the board manufacturer's web site. Instructions will be in it about setting the BIOS up. Don't let it intimidate you. After you set up a BIOS once or twice you will get it.

I got speccy, but do I change things with it? or am I understanding this wrong?

P.S. Sorry if I am a pain, but I just have no experience with this stuff.

Edit: I got the other one too now, but sorry. I just need more guidance on this.

Is it even possible for me to do this on my own? and do I have to have cpuz validate my pc? I can't find a guide for this.

I feel so powerless.
